The principal designer and face behind De Challie, Hajar.M.Gala has contributed enormously to the art of couture in Australia over the last two decades earning a reputation as one of the leading Australian Couturiers. She trained formally in the French couture method at the International Fashion Academy (IFA) in Europe.
De Challie was featured as one of the top couture houses at the prestigious Australian Couturiers’ Ball, Town Hall Sydney for many years. As the finale at the international event Mondo Moda, Sydney Opera House , Hajar’s talent met with international acclaim culminating in a memorable showing in Italy at the Presidential Palace Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
Hajar’s talent has been awarded in Australia and met with international acclaim and featured in prestigious fashion magazines such as Collezioni Haute Couture.
De Challie presents exquisite couture bridal and evening wear inspired by the classical art of Haute Couture, offering a traditional couture dressmaking service from the Maisons main atelier in Canberra as well as a personalised couture service for clients interstate and globally.
